ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND GOALS
We have dedicated 40 years to the positive advancement of safety in the aviation industry. Many of today's safety standards and operational capabilities are a recognition of our contributions in time and expertise to the industry. These accomplishments have been a result of our interest and involvement in bettering the industry through conservative, yet forward thinking.
Our ability to evaluate aviation activities and work with the private and public sectors has allowed us the opportunity to influence positive changes in safety and operational practices. Our experience in managing large fleets including airplanes and helicopters qualifies us to evaluate aircraft, aircraft systems, safety programs, training and operations departments and management techniques. The technical skills we possess have been sought after in accident investigation and litigation activities.
During Vernon Albert's tenure as Vice President, Chief Pilot and Director of Training with PHI, he was instrumental in standardizing training, developing Cockpit Resource Management Training and Pilot Decision Making Training. This step set the standard for the helicopter industry in 1985 and reduced an accident rate from 5.6, in 1980, to 0 accidents per one hundred thousand flight hours from Oct. 1993 till Oct. 1996. These are verifiable facts, accomplished with a fleet which averaged over 230,000 hours and 1.57 million departures per year. This was accomplished through selecting the right people and aircraft match for the jobs to be performed.
AaAI’s goals are to continue to promote change and safety in the aviation
industry, as well as work to establish an infrastructure which will allow
the full utilization of the unique characteristics of aircraft in the intermodal
transportation system.
Our sincere desire is to continue to function as leaders in the aviation industry and be able to continue our dedication to those in it. That is why I feel that we at ALBERT and ASSOCIATES, INC. (AaAI) are the professionals who can meet your consulting needs.
